There have been rumours circulating that Chelsea could be making a bid this coming January for red-hot striker Luis Suarez.
The in-form Liverpool forward has suddenly become one of the hottest properties in the Premier League and is attracting interest from some of Europe’s elite, which has put the Merseyside club on red-alert because they do not want to lose their forward.
Suarez has been publicly criticised for all the silly little antics that he continually seemed to do, but he has cut all of that out and become the player that many expected him to be.
His goal-scoring this term is brilliant and he is the League’s top marksman with ten.
So it was inevitable that he would be stirring up some kind of bidding war when the transfer window opens, and it seems Roman Abramovic has set his sights on the little Uruguayan and will be willing to match the £50 million price tag that Liverpool has put on his head.
However, the blues will have to fight off interest from the richest club on the planet, Manchester City as it emerged earlier this week that they were also interested in acquiring the services of Suarez.
