There have been some rumours emerge that Napoli could be tempted into selling star player Edinson Cavani after they brought in Giuseppe Rossi from Villarreal and reports suggest that it is between us, Manchester City and PSG.
The Napoli striker is one of the most sought after strikers in Europe and has been linked with a big money offer for some time and according to reports on the TalkSport website an offer of £45 million would be an one which they would find difficult to turn down.
And although we have just brought in Demba Ba, Roman Abramovic could be tempted into making an offer for the big man, who has been in sparkling form for the last few seasons and is now one of the best forwards on the planet.
However, the fact that City are willing to offer so much and a player might suggest that Roman does not want to get into a big battle with a club that will offer everything plus the kitchen sink to get their man.
And that kind of offer would also be no problem for PSG, who are backed by billionaire Qataris, and are desperate to break into Europe’s elite.
Three of the world’s richest clubs are chasing him and he could have a very tough decision on his hands, but maybe for us it is better if we buy in bulk this window and wait until the summer to spend big on players like Cavani or Radamel Falcao because we need to strengthen in other areas of the park first.
