Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano has ruled out a move for Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao, which will give the Chelsea hierarchy a massive boost.

It is no secret that he is our number one target and have been on his trail for some time, and after he hit a hat-trick against us in the super Cup in August, we want him even more.

However, it has become a game of will he or wont he as there have been so many reports about where he will end up in the summer window.

But Chelsea are finally feeling confident about bringing him to Stamford Bridge for next season after City pulled out of the race and gave them a clear run at nailing down his services according to reports on the TalkSport website.

As quoted on the TalkSport Soriano said: “Neymar and Falcao? [These reports are] false, they have never been on our agenda.”

He would cost us a massive fee and a massive wage, but he is seen as the best number nine on the planet and there isn’t a club out there that wouldn’t love him in the squad.
