Chelsea have been linked with a whole host of forwards in recent weeks and it seems that another one of their targets fancies a move to London, as Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfred Bony has admitted that he would welcome a move to the blues.
Boss Roberto di Matteo is looking to add more fire power to his squad, with Fernando Torres and Daniel Sturridge his only two out-and-out finishers. This is simply not enough if they wish to win anything this season, and the blues boss has been monitoring Bony, who has been earning rave reviews for his performances in the Dutch League this season.
In a recent interview published on Sky Sports, the Ivorian stated: if they write about me going there, then its great isn’t it?
“But seriously, if they want me, it would be a great honour. I would be glad to go to such a club.
“I love English football and wouldn’t be afraid to play there. Chelsea are a top club.
“I know that Chelsea and Arnhem are close and some of the Chelsea lads are here on loan, including Tomas (Kalas). I have discussed it with him many times already.”
Young Bony has had a great start to this season and has netted twelve goals in the League for Arnhem, he is the kind of strong, powerful striker that Chelsea could do with.
