Chelsea target ‘vows’ to stay where he is?

There had been many rumours circulating that we were looking to bring Brazilian star Paulinho to Stamford Bridge as we look to add another defensive midfielder to our squad. But according to reports that is not going to happen in the near future as the player has shown his desire to stay exactly where he is.

Rafa Benitez was seemingly desperate to land the Brazilian international, and although there is still a slim chance we could go out and buy him, the Spaniard will be disappointed to hear that Paulinho doesn not want a move away from him homeland.

As quoted on Sky Sports, Paulinho said: “I’m staying at Corinthians,” he told Esporte iG.

“There were lots of rumours that I could possibly leave the club, that there are talks, but I have never been aware of anything concrete, apart from Inter Milan, which everyone knows about.

“The more titles you win, the more you want to win. That’s what everyone says, and I say that too.”

He helped Corinthians to claim the title of best club side on the planet on Sunday, beating Chelsea in the final, and must of seen that the blues are not what he expected them to be and decided that he would be better off where he is.

Let him stay where he is. He didn’t even impress me when we played against them. Right now i don’t think we need a DM with the way Luiz played in that position. Instead lets get a CB. Good thing that we have defenders who are versatile enough to play in other positions, so we just need to enforce that department with more natural defenders in the mold of JT. But before we do that, can we please kick Torres out?
