Avram Grant is reportedly helping out the Stamford Bridge club to nail down on of the hottest talents in the game, Partizan Belgrade wonderkid Lazar Markovic in the summer window.

The young 18-year-old star has the unenviable tag of ‘wonderkid’ and is being hailed as the next big thing in the world of football. And with Roman Abramovic loving the idea of bringing new and exciting talent to the club, we look set to beat off the competition for the highly-rated young lad.

Markovic has barely been on the scene but has been in impressive form this season as he has has alerted the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, us and Inter Milan to the kind of potential that he has.

And former boss Grant boss spent five months at Partizan last season and led them to their fifth consecutive title.

Now he is part of the Stamford Bridge charm offensive to persuade 19-year-old striker Markovic to sign for Chelsea ahead of anybody else at the end on the season, according to the Daily Mirror.

At such a tender age we would be mistaken for getting carried away about his potential, but the lad clearly has bundles of ability and I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of talent he truly has, if we ever get a chance to see it at Stamford Bridge.
