Chelsea’s Oscar responds to claims team didn’t give enough!

You cannot fault the player’s effort on Sunday to bring home the Club World Cup and it be fair the Brazilians probably to walk away with the crown. And Oscar insists Chelsea gave their all in their quest to land the trophy.

There have been many who have doubted just how much the blues actually wanted the title and believe that we didn’t put everything into the final at the weekend.

And Rafa Benitez’s men were subjected to another frustrating and boring game as Corinthians walked away with a dull 1-0 victory.

However, there seemed to be too many players not putting in there all and Oscar was apparently one of those stars that failed to raise his game, but he is defiantly stating him and his team-mates did not take their foot off the gas in a fixture in which we should have had our first bit of silverware this season.

As quoted on Sky Sports he said: “I didn’t think we lacked effort, this happens.

“The whole of the Chelsea team need to learn how to play decisive games like this.

“Chelsea wanted this title so much; we have been training a lot in London for this competition. But defeat happens. Corinthians played well and deserved to win.

“It was a good game, we just didn’t create as much as usual, Cassio made some great saves and Corinthians scored when they had the chance.”

We could all see just how much some of the players wanted it after the game as we saw the emotion on their faces and although we didn’t give everything, we gave enough to suggest that we were there to win it and not just take part.

We will continue leaking our wounds after the damage has been done, nice talk. The overall performance of the team is zero starting from the coach,(why did he fails to use the same player that prosecute the semi final and formation to play the match) defence and attack, apart from David and Cole that performed well, every other person just make a shadow of himself. The same thing that happen against A. Madrid, the same thing occur yesterday. No passion, no zeal or even that hunger that i want to win the trophy and above all disgrace to we the fans. How on earth you go for 3 good finals and failed to pick a single cup out of it that is to show that CL we won was just a fluke. Permit me to say, that is why i like Man u because if you watch their game, they make sure they pressurized their opponent unitl they get that desire goal but if were to be Chelsea, we will continue impregnating the ball instead of moving it. I am tired of this heartbreak. Since Mourinho and Ancelloti left we have not been able to watch Chelsea and get settle with our butts not hotting us because of the pressure of we the fans. No matter what happens i still remain BLUE. My candid advice here is that they should learn how to approach games with aggressiveness and with all their muscles.

    Totally agree wif u lucky

The only problem I see with this chelsea team is the absense of a target man. I remember the Drogba days, wen the players Knew all they had to do was get the ball across to him “that was some motivation.” Point blank Chelsea will continue to experience results like this unless a viable striker is brought in. Drogba’s “the big man” shoes is simply too big for Torres alone to fill and will continue to eclipse him. If he must stay, then the lad needs someone to help ease the pressure off his shoulder.
A certain Falcao and Demba ba I’d reckon should be just enough to help with some sort of stability.

  • I truly agree with u lucky but i can see weakness in chelsea midfield otherwise the would have own the club world cup it is only for attacking area who feel to score a goal

  • Its a big disgrace 4 the whole to see chelsea losing a must win game which they have advantage to win
