Former Chelsea boss plans cheeky bid for Star
Ashley Cole is in the middle of deciding where he plays his football in the future after his contract negotiations stalled after both him and the club could not agree on the right terms.
It is believed that the blues are only willing to offer the left-back a one-year extension on top of his current contract which runs out in the summer, and the 31-year-old is not accepting that.
So it was inevitable that he would be linked with other clubs and possibly a move away from Stamford Bridge when the transfer window opens in January, but the idea that former boss Jose Mourinho could be making an offer for the star in the near future is kind of cheeky.
He is in some desperate need to buy a left-back after Marcelo picked up an injury which will cost him most of the season and Fabio Coentrao not living up to the hype which surrounded his name just a few seasons ago.
So the blues defender, who is regarded as the best in his position is now on the radar of the ‘Special one’ and having seen how Mourinho works in the past, he will do whatever it takes to get his man.
And he knows that Cole will also be tempted by the prospect of joining the biggest club in the world and all the lucrative things that comes along with playing for the Spanish giants, so will definitely use that when or if he makes a bid in the future.
